Giant and Pygmy Resonances within Axial-deformed QRPA with the Gogny Force Original Research Article

Fully consistent axially-deformed HFB+QRPA calculations have been performed, where the same Gogny D1S effective force has been used both in the HFB and QRPA approaches. Results on one dipole pygmy state found in 26Ne are discussed and compared with recent experimental data. Giant resonances calculated in deformed 28Si and 24Mg are presented. Theoretical results for monopole, quadrupole, and dipole responses are in good agreement with experimental data.
