Final State Interactions in D Meson Decays Original Research Article

The importance of final state interactions in hadronic decays of D mesons is discussed. A model independent measurement of the phase of the K−π+ S-wave amplitude from D+→K−π+π+ decays is presented. The result indicates a deviation from the phase of the K−π+ S-wave amplitude obtained by scattering experiments. This could be interpreted as an indication of the presence of 3-body final state interaction.
