Perspective on the Development of Nuclear Physics in the Past 100 Years Original Research Article

The course of nuclear physics is reviewed in the period from just before Hideki Yukawaʹs birth through the middle of the 20th century. Some information on Yukawaʹs first paper is presented. Then some general observations about the present state of the field of nuclear physics and of science are given.
