Monodisperse polyamide oligomers: a facile synthesis of small polyamide oligomers on a solid polymer support

Monodisperse oligomers of poly(hexamethylene isophthalamide) (nylon-6I) with degrees of polymerization of one and two were prepared by solid-state synthesis on a Merrifield-type hydroxymethyl polystyrene resin using symmetrical diamines and diacid chlorides as starting materials.
