Abstract
Electro-optical Kerr-effect data have been obtained for various stereostructural forms of poly(N-vinyl carbazole) in solution in 1,4-dioxane over the temperature range 298–338 K. All of the polymers had a negative Kerr constant which become more positive with increasing temperature. Polymer samples with the largest isotactic content also had molar Kerr constants with the largest temperature coefficients.
