Abstract :
The homopolymerization of α-acetyl-γ-butyrolactone and copolymerization of α-acetyl-γ-butyrolactone and β-butyrolactone proceed in bulk with BF3 · OEt2 as a catalyst at room temperature to give the corresponding homopolymer and copolymer.
