Probability of triple contacts in polymer chains

The compact conformations of polymers are important because they are the principal configurations of the native states of globular proteins. The probability distributions and the correlation functions of triple contacts are calculated using the Gaussian statistics of the random-flight chain. Some comparisons with single and double contacts are also made.
