Abstract :
The average value of Yg>PhCH2Cl group contribution of 35 217 kg mol−1 was calculated using experimental glass transition temperature data of chloromethylated polysulfones having various substitution degrees, and equation of van Krevelen and Hoftyzer. This value proved to be useful for prediction of Tg values of siloxane modified polysulfones. A good correlation between calculated and experimental values was found.
