Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to propose structural model of academic burnout based on philosophy of mindedness in students. It was a cross-sectional research and a structural equation modeling. Statistical population involved all female high school students of Chalous city who have been studying in the academic year 2012-2013. 304 students were selected as the sample by cluster random sampling. Academic burnout and philosophy of mindedness inventories were used to collect data. Statistical analyses performed to analyze data included structural equation modeling using LISREL and SPSS software. The findings indicated that only flexibility could explain 0.45% and 0.33% changes of studentsʹ emotional exhaustion and academic apathy, respectively. Also, none of philosophy of mindedness components could not influence on studentsʹ academic incompetence. In addition, female studentsʹ philosophy of mindedness has not had an impact on their academic burnout.
