Abstract :
Blindness is a phenomenon that can occur by any reasons and decrease the quality of bl i nd’ s l i f e. Regardi ng those psychol ogi cal probl ems i n addi ti on to bl i ndness issue is one of the most important factors in decreasing quality of life. The aim of present study is evaluation of effectiveness of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy trai ni ng on i ncreasi ngbl i nd’ s subj ecti ve wel l -being. Sampling of the study was convenience sampling method and the respondents were targeted based volunteers. After administering questionnaire by volunteers, three of them were chosen who had lower score than others also lower than questionnaire cut point. In current study, experimental designs using a single subject A-B design was follow-up is used. All three subjects participated in 9 mindfulness-based cognitive therapy training sessions. As the visual analysis and study results showed that, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy increases subjective well-being in blind individuals. Regarding the effect of this type of training and considering the usefulness of this technique in increasing subjective well-being, widespread application of this method i s recommended to i ncrease bl i nds’ psychol ogi cal heal th.
