Abstract :
The goal of this research is to construct and normalize a Mental Health Measurement Scale for students. The statistical society includes all girl primary school students of region 1 of Tehran in 2013. Two primary schools were selected by Available Sampling Method. Totally, 150 students completed the questionnaire. Results: The reliability coefficient and internal integration factor was 0.82 by Chronbach’ s Alpha. The Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was used to examine validity of this scale. 8 eigenvalue factors greater than 1 express 66.09% of total variance. The results of EFA showed that MHMS with can measure the factors “ hope, self-acceptance, environment mastery, autonomy, goal of life, positivism, self-confidence, and positive relations” by 23 questions. Discussion and conclusion: This scale can be used to measure mental health of primary school students.
