Abstract :
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of philosophy education in the moral judgment among the fifth-grade students in Arak city. A pre-test post-test with control group design was used. Statistical population included all the fifth- grade male students in the school year ran from 2012 to 2013 in Arak city, out of which a sample of 30 students was randomly selected and assigned to the experimental and control groups (each group n=15). The data gathering tool was Moral Judgment Test (MJT) and the data were analyzed using covariance analysis. Results indicated that the philosophy education increased the students’ moral judgment. In order to test out the consistency of the program, the students were reevaluated in a follow-up study two months later
