Abstract :
We have established that a bis(azamacrocyclic) complex of copper(II) with 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate undergoes reversible dehydration/rehydration processes. The rate of these processes and the high sensitivity of the material obtained to water vapor permit us to consider this compound as a promising coating for humidity sensors. Furthermore, such a coating differentiates between methanol and other monohydric alcohols.
