Improvement of Properties of NdFeB Sintered Magnets Through Proper Process Control Original Research Article

It is well known that high grade magnet means not only magnetʹs intrinsic higher magnetic properties, but also higher properties of thermal stability and corrosion resistance. Here I would like to introduce my working results for producing high grade magnets by using single alloy route of strip cast, it mainly shows that even through the heavy rare earth element, such as Tb and Dy are very useful and necessary for making high grade magnets, after all there is a limitation and more effective way is to control the key processes properly, such as to get accurate composition and columnar microstructure of strip cast; to generate a very narrow particle size distribution and to decrease the fine powder as good as possible during jet mill process, etc.
