Abstract :
furnace are determined. Individual analyzed samples are selected from wheat and rape straw and bark. The basic task of this
work is the identification and evaluation of individual samples of the elemental composition. Theoretical calculations of combustion
characteristics are performed after an evaluation of elemental analysis. Thermal emission measurement is carried out
by flue gas analyzer GA-60. Thermal emission concentrations of carbon monoxide and dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and flue gas
temperatures are assessed according to the excess air coefficient and statistically evaluated by regression analysis. Different
parameters were determined in the resulting values of individual examined biofuels samples in elemental and stoichiometric
analysis. Samples from rape straw pellets contain a high concentration of nitrogen (0.72% wt.) and sulfur (0.23% wt.) and
samples from the bark fuel have high amounts of ash (13.3% wt.), which subsequently affects the combustion process. Measured
emission concentrations in samples of wheat and rape straw range at low coefficient of excess air from 4 to 6 up to 2000
mg.m-3 carbon monoxide. Based on the results of thermal emission measurements burning of the crushed bark can not be recommended
on the selected burner furnace.
