Abstract
Designing wind turbines according to existing standards and their study require a complete model. Gearbox is one of the main parts usually simplified in modeling. Stiffness, friction, wear, and twists among gears of in planetary gearboxes, the most commonly used in wind turbines, require a very accurate model for describing different forces in them. To this end, we have applied the bond graph method to model all state equations and effects of variation of the wind torque on gearbox speed. Owing to considering all the forces and losts, the present model has more accuracy than the existing models
