Abstract :
The goal of this research paper is to study the relationship
between social capital and knowledge management of managers
and teachers in high schools in Ahar. To do so, knowledge management
was defined by using Bhatt’s idea in five dimensions of knowledge
achievement, knowledge record, knowledge transfer, knowledge creation,
and knowledge application and social capital was defined based on Nahapiet
& Ghoshal’s theory within three dimensions of structural, cognitive,
and communicative aspects. Thus, one main hypothesis and five minor hypotheses were designed. The statistical population of this research
entails all managers and teachers in high schools in Ahar who
were totally 313 persons. The statistical sample was defined to be 171
persons after using the sample volume identification tables of limited
populations posed by Kerjesi & Morgan and also Cohen. These individuals
were selected by using a random class sampling method. To gather
data we have used a questionnaire whose validity was approved formally
and reliability was approved by using Kronbach’s alpha coefficient. The
questionnaire was designed regarding the operational definition of research
variables, social capital and knowledge management. Also in order
to analyze data in this research, we have used Pearson’s correlation
test. Results showed that there is a meaningful relationship between
social capital and 5 dimensions of knowledge management of managers
and teachers in high schools in Ahar.
