Abstract :
The pressure and temperature dependence of the luminescence decay kinetics of the LiTaO3 : Cr3+ system has been analyzed. The energetic structure, inhomogeneous broadening of the 4T2 energy and non-radiative processes in the excited states of Cr3+ in the β and γ sites have been estimated. We have found two non-radiative processes that become active at high-pressure and temperature: the internal conversion processes and non-radiative Förster–Dexter energy transfer.
