Abstract :
Tris(bipyridine)ruthenium(II)(Ru(bpy)32+) has been incorporated into mesoporous silicate, MCM-48 and Ru(bpy)32+/MCM-48 were investigated by electronic absorption, emission, FT-Raman and X-ray diffraction spectroscopy. The emission spectra show that the wavelength of maximum intensity (λmax) of Ru(bpy)32+ increases with the increasing of Ru(bpy)32+ loading level. The vapochromic property of Ru(bpy)32+/MCM-48 was investigated. It was observed that the wavelength maximum intensity of emission(λmax) for Ru(bpy)32+/MCM-48 was red-shifted when acetone vapor was introduced.
