Abstract :
Optical spectra and luminescence dynamics of K5PrxLa1−xLi2F10 (x=1, 0.02) single crystals grown by the Bridgman method were investigated. The Pr3+ energy levels were determined from the low-temperature (5 K) spectra. Depending on the concentration of the Pr3+ ions, different temperature dependencies of the emission quenching from the 3P0 and 1D2 multiplets have been observed. An activation energy of 185 cm−1 was found for the emission quenching from the 3P0 multiplet of Pr3+ in K5PrLi2F10.
