Abstract
Satellite hole spectra of bodipy molecule covalently attached to the 5′ end of various oligonucleotides are used to probe DNA–protein recognition. The studies of the yeast telomere in the presence of Cdc13p telomere binding protein and the guanine quartet structure recognized by thrombin suggest that a proper structure of DNA is essential for DNA–protein recognition.
