Abstract :
A method of generation of powerful pulses of ultraviolet and soft X-ray coherent radiation is considered. It consists in employing superradiant indirect exciton recombination in large enough high quality diamond samples. The theory of this transient process is developed and its dynamics is simulated. In result it is shown that this method may probably provide the generation of picosecond pulses of coherent electromagnetic field with peak powers larger than 30 W at wavelength 235 nm.
