Abstract :
In the framework of research of efficient phosphors quantum cutting (QC) associated with strong absorption is an attractive process. Because of their wide band gap and the position of their image transitions, fluorides image and image, image are studied in the UV and VUV spectral regions. Emission and excitation spectra, fluorescence decay-times are presented. Theoretical prediction of QC has not been confirmed by the experimental study but it is shown that image energy transfer occurs, opening possibilities for new green phosphors.
