Abstract
In the present study, (Gd1−xYx)0.94Eu0.06PO4 (0≤x≤1.0) phosphors were synthesized by the solution combustion method. The influence of Y3+ substitution and annealing temperature on the photoluminescence properties of (Gd1−xYx)0.94Eu0.06PO4 phosphors were studied. The influence of annealing temperature on photoluminescence properties and particle size were investigated. The Y0.94Eu0.06PO4 phosphors annealed at 1150 °C showed the stronger emission intensity and the higher ratio of the 5D0→7F2 to 5D0→7F1 transition when compared with the Y0.94Eu0.06PO4 phosphors annealed at 1000 °C. Emission intensity ratio of electric to magnetic dipole transitions of Eu3+ can be varied by changing Y3+ concentration.
