Abstract :
This paper analyzes the solid–gas separation mechanism of cyclones with electrostatic excitation, and proposes nonlinear differential equations, describing the dynamics in cyclone with electrostatic excitation. Using chaos theory, a equation of cut diameter is obtained, and then verified by experiment. It is found that the equation of cut diameter can be used for the design optimal for the electrocyclone separator and improve its performance.
