A topographical factor analysis of lightning strokes to transmission lines and estimation of lightning strokes frequency to transmission lines

The authors have observed the lightning strokes to the EHV transmission lines by using still cameras and tried to estimate the lightning strokes to the transmission lines by a topographical method, comparing with observation results. This paper reports on the observation results and evaluation of a topographical factor analysis of lightning, stroke frequency to transmission lines.
