Abstract :
Electron-beam irradiation is used for the measurement of the volume resistivity of some types of polyethylene (PE) and kapton (PI) with a maximum thickness of 75 μm. The energy of the electrons is 3.5–5.5 keV and the maximum time of irradiation is 46 min. The results obtained by this method are compared with those of classic and standardized methods, and the influence of electron-beam irradiation on volume resistivity is studied as well.
