On the meniscus deformation when the pulsed voltage is applied

Effect of the pulsed voltage on the meniscus deformation was investigated. Results show that both the pulsed voltage and its width as well as the bias voltage affected the behaviour of spraying. There appeared three spraying modes, e.g. dripping, pulsating jet and cone-jet. Cone-jet has been created by applying a pulsed voltage of 1.5 kV to a bias voltage of 5.0 kV for 300 ms.
