Abstract :
A simplified mathematical model fully based on analytical procedures is defined for irrigation sprinkler droplet ballistics and applied, with sensible results, to practical cases. Its validation involves also comparisons with other authors’ results, obtaining a satisfactory agreement. Furthermore, the model is applied to the determination of aerial evaporation. Results show a surprising amount of water evaporation, as an upper limit value, due to the friction force. A deepening of the analysis will help a full comprehension of the problem.
