Abstract :
The CaO–Al2O3 system was studied by differential thermal analysis method in content interval from 0 to 60 mass% CaO. The absence of congruently melting compounds in argon atmosphere was confirmed and the coordinates of eutectic and peritectic points redefined. The heats of these transformations were measured and then the enthalpies of fusion of aluminates were calculated.
