Abstract :
The present work is a modification of Ozenʹs first order diffusion kinetics equation incorporating imperfections (pores, cracks and voids, etc.) in the established relationship between weight loss, particle size and time. The differences in oxidation behaviour of different varieties of graphite at higher temperatures could be well explained from the modified equation.
