Abstract :
Experimental investigation of the flexural properties of SiC/C laminates had been conducted. Effect of the interfacial thickness and composition on the mechanical properties of SiC laminates was characterized. The diffusion of elements from adjacent SiC layers in the carbon-based interfacial layers was studied. Accordingly, the optimal thickness and composition of interfacial layers were determined experimentally.
