Abstract :
In this study, orthorhombic LiMn0.4Co0.6O2 nano-particles are successfully prepared under mild hydrothermal conditions. The source of manganese is KMnO4 and MnCl2, and the source of cobalt is Co(NO3)2·6H2O. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) are used to characterize the obtained LiMn0.4Co0.6O2 particles. The synthesized nano-particles are found to be highly crystallized with an average size of 20 nm.
