Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the characteristics of administrative bureaucracy and job exhaustion of National Bank of Gorgan city. The research method used in this study is descriptive, survey/ correlation and the aim of the present study is applicable. Statistical population of 317 employees of National Bank of Gorgan city in 2010. The sample size was determined using Cochranʹs formula and according to Morgan and Kerjesi tables 169 subjects were estimated. Data collection tools include job exhaustion questionnaire, Researcher made questionnaire for characteristics of administration bureaucracy and questionnaire of investigating the relationship between administrative bureaucracy features and job exhaustion that their validity coefficient was determined by Cranach alpha, (?= 0.781), (?=0.872) and (?=0.927), respectively. In order to analyze data, Spearman correlation coefficient test and Chi square test were used. The results showed that there is significant positive relationship between characteristics of administrative bureaucracy and job exhaustion; also, there is also significant positive relationship between administrative bureaucracy features and components of job exhaustion (depersonalization, Professional Inefficacy and emotional exhaustion of individual employees). There is no significant relationship among five features of administrative bureaucracy, rules and regulations of employment based on merit and depersonalization, as well as the rules and regulations have significant relationship with the Professional Inefficacy.
