Generalizing the antisymmetric analysis of coordination to nominal modification

In some natural languages, a “linking morpheme” intervenes between an N(P) and its adjectival, prepositional, or relative modifier, whereas the semantics requires that an operator conjoin the properties denoted. The paper connects these two elements, arguing that they are the two “faces” of the same item, a functional element that heads a conjunctive phrase, and which is present, even if silent, in other languages too.
