Nutrient analysis: Manual methods and autoanalyser and vice versa

The Baltic Sea Research Institute Warnemuende performs nutrient analysis in the frame of HELCOM over a long period of time. Since 1993, manual methods and an autoanalyser system have been used alternatively. Examples are given that show that both methods provide comparable results under the complicated conditions in the Baltic Sea.
