(4S,6S)-4-Hydroxy-1,7-dioxaspiro[5.5]undecane (2) and (4R,6R)-4-acetoxy-1,7-dioxaspiro[5.5]undecane (3) were prepared by asymmetric hydrolysis of (±)-3 with pig liver esterase.
