Abstract
Optical transmittivity in the UV–VIS region of thermally evaporated amorphous As2S3, and As2Se3 thin films was measured in the temperature region The temperature dependence of the optical gap (Eg(T)) was found to be in agreement with Fanʹs one-phonon approximation or with Codyʹs one-oscillator model. The parameters necessary to describe the Eg(T) dependences for non-crystalline Se, As2S3, As2Se3, GeS2 and GeSe2, according to a simple linear relation, Varshniʹs relation, and Fanʹs or Codyʹs model are summarized.
