First-principles calculations of second-order optical response functions in chalcopyrite semiconductors Original Research Article

The calculation of nonlinear optical response functions is reviewed. Results for II–IV–V2 and I–III–VI2 materials are compared. Some interesting and surprising results are highlighted. A related family of wurtzite based structures is briefly discussed.
