Abstract :
A ruthenium complex, Ru(Phen)2(Phen-OH-CO2Et)2+(PF6)2, where Phen=1,10-phenanthroline and Phen-OH-CO2Et=3-carbethoxy,4-hydroxy-1,10-phenanthroline ligands has been synthesized. The emission intensity of this complex changes in the pH range of 3–11, which makes it useful in the design of chemosensors.
