Abstract
The structure of [{Co(4,4′-bpy)(HO3PCH2CH2CH2CH2PO3H)(H2O)2}·4H2O]n 1 was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 contains a new two-dimensional framework layer, which is built up from parallelogram units in bc plane. The layers are constructed into a three-dimensional structure by interlayer hydrogen bonds.
