Two structurally differing (heterogeometric) mesityltellurium(II) phosphor-1,1-dithiolates: the first monomeric dicoordinate MesTeS(S)PPh2 and a self-assembled tricoordinate [MesTeS(S)P(OPri)2]x

In the class of RTeS(S)PPR′2 compounds, mesityltellurium(II) diphenyldithiophosphinate, MesTeS(S)PPh2, is the first molecular, unassociated compound, whereas mesityltellurium(II) di(isopropyl)dithiophosphate, [MesTeS(S)P(OPri)2]x, is self-assembled into supramolecular chain-alike arrays, through secondary Te⋯S bonds.
