Abstract :
The hydrothermal reaction of V2O5, V2O3, Na2MoO4 · 2H2O, MoO3, and 2,2′-bipyridine in aqueous medium yields a novel hybrid, [VIVO(μ3-MoO4)(2,2′-bpy)], which demonstrates the potential of constructing new robust composite materials composed of mixed metal oxide {V/O/M/O}-based frameworks decorated with organic functionalities by combining appropriate oxometalate motifs with suitable organic ligands.
