Abstract :
A novel xanthate complex [HL]+[Zn(S2COEt)3]− (L = 3,6-diaminoacridine) has been sythesized by reaction of [Zn(S2COEt)2] with 3,6-diaminoacridine hemisulfate. The structure of the compound reveals that the three xantathe ligands show different coordination modes to the zinc and cations and anions are arranged in a supramolecular array in which H-bonding interactions are present.
