Abstract :
A novel Keggin unit containing n-propylcarbocation complex, [CH3CHCH3]3[PMo12O40], was synthesized by a hydrothermal method in the presence of CuCl2. X-ray structure analysis has confirmed the presence of the [CH3CHCH3]+ cations in [CH3CHCH3]3[PMo12O40]. Its structure was also characterized by thermogravimetric analysis.
