Abstract :
A hetero-bimetallic complex K[Mn(acacen)]2[W(CN)8] · 2H2O (acacen2− = dianion of N,N′-ethylenebis(acetylacetonylideneaminato)) consists of two-dimensional gridlike {[Mn(acacen)]2[W(CN)8]}− layers that are linked by K+ ions giving rise to a three-dimensional network. Ferromagnetic Mn(III)–W(V) coupling and magnetic ordering at 18.0 K (Tc) have been observed in the complex.
