Abstract :
The synthesis of a new chiral pentadentate polypyridylmethyl ligand derived from S-(2-aminomethyl)piperidine, N,N,N′-tris(2-pyridylmethyl)-S-2-(aminomethyl)piperdine, S-P3pipda (1), is described. The physicochemical properties of its copper(II) complex were examined by UV–Vis and CD spectroscopies, X-ray crystallography, and electrochemistry.
