Abstract :
A novel two-dimensional sheet cadmium(II) coordination polymer [Cd(μ-3-PyO–N,O)2(3-PyOH)2]n, containing neutral and deprotonated 3-hydroxypyridine ligands has been synthesized and shown to exhibit strong blue fluorescent emission in the solid state.
