Abstract :
The first organically templated indium phosphite (H3NC2H4NH3)[In(OH)3(HPO3)] was hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, the powder X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis and IR spectroscopy. The compound is built up from InO3(OH)3 octahedron and HPO3 pseudo-pyramid that share vertices. The connectivity between InO3(OH)3 and HPO3 units gives rise to a ladder-like chain architecture containing fused [In2P2O4] four-member rings.
