Abstract :
A novel three-dimensional cadmium(II) coordination complex [Cd(H2L) · 1.5H2O]n with space group P6(2) was obtained by self-assembly between H4L and cadmium(II). Each cadmium ion is seven coordinated by four nitrogen and three oxygen atoms from the H2L2−, forming a coordination geometry of distorted pentagonal bipyramid. This complex exhibits intense yellow emission at room temperature.
